Iris Osborne Marks

Iris Osborne Marks, 88, of Charlotte, NC died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House. She was born October 17, 1923 in Louisburg, NC to the late Thomas Osborne and Mary Magdalene Allen Osborne. Iris enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and sewing but was so proud to be the "family scrabble champion". Along with her parents Iris was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie W. Marks and brother, Larry Osborne. She is survived by her two sons: Bill Marks and his wife Becky of Weddington, NC and Thomas "Tony" Marks and his wife Pam of Matthews, NC, one daughter: Carolyn Naples of Florida, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and her dog Tiger. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Rick Felts officiating at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home Chapel, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville, NC. Interment will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Rd. Charlotte,NC. Memorial Contributions may be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr. Huntersville, NC 28078.
