Imogene "Jean" White Caldwell

Imogene “Jean” Caldwell, 90, of Cornelius went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at her home in Cornelius NC.

She was born on June 9, 1932 in Cornelius, NC, the daughter of the late Marshal and Verney White. After graduating from Cornelius High School in 1950 she went to work for the American Trust Company in Charlotte, NC.  This started a long career in Trust Estate Planning.  She retired from Bank of America as a Trust Vice President after 38 years of service.  Mrs. Caldwell was a member of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), Mount Zion United Methodist Church, and the Kiker Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her son, Ed Caldwell and wife Lisa of Cornelius; granddaughter, Shelby Caldwell Rusch and Husband Shannon; sister-in-law, Glenda Gale Jetton of Knoxville, TN; two nieces; and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Caldwell.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, 2:30 PM, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow the services in the church cemetery.
