Ila Mae Nofziger, 87 of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in her home on May 23, 2021.
Ila was born in Wauseon, Ohio on July 5, 1933 to the late Clarence Krauss and Lola First Krauss.
Along with her parents, Ila is preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Whitt.
She is survived by husband, Lowell “Bud” Nofziger; son, Michael Nofziger; granddaughters, Jessi Elliott (Josh), and Jennie Sibley (Todd); and seven great-grandchildren.
Ila loved the Lord and was strong in her faith. She was the prayer warrior of her family. Family and friends were very important to her, and she adopted so many “family members” throughout her life. So many were touched by her compassionate heart and loving personality. Ila was active in several volunteer organizations, as she loved spending her time helping others. She was a lover of all sports, and was an active participant in softball and basketball for many years.
Ila will be greatly missed by so many, especially her family but we rejoice in knowing she is in Heaven with her daughter.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Ila to Shining Hope Farms or The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
A visitation will be held at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC on Wednesday, May 26 from 6-8 pm.
