Homer Alexander Orren

Homer A. Orren, 96, of Cornelius, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on April 3, 2015. He was born in East Monbo, NC and served during World War II in the US Army 30th Signal Company. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius, NC where he resided since 1968. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is deeply loved and survived by his wife, Anne, of 64 years, daughters, Victoria Gaskill (Al) of Clemmons, NC, Debra Godfrey (Steve) of Fort Mill, SC and son, David Orren (Amrita) of Lexington, KY; grandchildren: Leslie Silvers, Holly Whitby, Laura Bakanic-Robinson, Elizabeth Bakanic and Grason Godfrey; great-grandchildren: Wil, Matthew, Parker, AJ, Paige, and Anna. A celebration of his life will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 11 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church, 19920 Bethel Church Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031 and Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
