Helen Julia Starzyk Mroz

Helen Julia Starzyk Mroz, 85, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully on Saturday October 5, 2013. She is happily dancing in heaven. Helen was born in Chicago, IL on April 25, 1928 to the late Stanley Starzyk and Frances Kurtyka Dorosz. Helen was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, she volunteered at CMC Northeast Gift Shop, and participated in various activities at The Glen at Highland Creek. Helen leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 66 years, Steve Mroz; sons, Gary (Lynn), Glen (Stefania), Gregory (Marci), Gordon (Mary); grandchildren, Marcus (Heather), Lucas (Sarah), Alissa, Stacy, Jessica, Becca, Alexandra, Katrina; great-grandchildren, Wren, Z, Fox and Zachary. Along with her parents, Helen was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 8, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville with Deacon Mark Nash officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney St. Pineville, NC 28134.
