Heather Elizabeth Goveia

Heather Elizabeth Goveia, 47, of Davidson, North Carolina, passed away on October 19th, 2023 after an extended illness. She was born June 7^th, 1976, in Mexico City, Mexico to her parents Richard and Ann Koehler. In 2005, Heather married Kevin Goveia in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

Heather was passionate about education—both in delivery and pursuing her own. Most recently, she was a Service Delivery Partner in Educational Services with Pearson Virtual Schools. Heather received her Bachelors’ Degree from LeMoyne College, MBA from Florida Institute of Technology, and was studying towards her Master of Public Administration degree from Syracuse University.  She was a graduate of G.R. Bodley High School, Fulton, NY.

Her life was a living example of love. She is survived by her husband, Kevin; one daughter, Savannah; her parents, Richard and Ann Koehler; one sister, Leah; her in-laws, Joseph and Sharon Kurzawski; five brothers-in-law, John, Scott, Joseph, Scott, and Casey; three sisters-in-law, Diane, Jody, and Melissa; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following charity.
