Harry Fisher Porter

Mr. Harry Fisher Porter, Jr. 63, of Charlotte, NC died Thursday October 11, 2012 at his residence. Born February 10, 1949 in Charlotte he was the son of the late Harry F. Porter Sr. and Idell Davis Porter. He was the owner of Harry Porter Real Estate Company in Charlotte, NC. Harry was a loving and devoted uncle to his nephews, great niece and great nephews, always having time for a game of football on Sunday afternoon or exploring the world through the books he always brought them. A celebration of his life will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday October 14, 2012 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Cornelius, NC with Rev. Bill Cain officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 in the Family Life Center at the Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Ethel Sellers and husband Roger of Mooresville; nephews, Chip Sellers and wife Melanie, Matt Sellers and wife Judie; great niece, Kaitlyn; great nephews, Jacob and Coleman all of Cornelius and numerous friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church, 19920 Bethel Church Road, Cornelius, NC 28031.
