Harry Glen Clark, 70, of Charlotte, NC passed away on March 3, 2016 peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Harry was born in Seattle, Washington on June 20th, 1945 to the late Ret. Col. Harry E. Clark and Mary Ellen Vrooman Clark.
Harry graduated from Texas A&M University and immediately joined the U.S. Army in 1967 where he served as Captain. Harry was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War in the 195th AHC Company. He proudly served his country until 1972.
For the last 25 years, Harry has been a dedicated and hard working Manager at Toyota of Gastonia, and Scott Clark’s Toyota. He had a heart of gold and a laugh that was contagious. He was a loving brother and uncle who had a great passion for NASCAR, the Aggies, and most of all, flying planes.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia (Ted) St. Yves of Arizona. He is survived by his brother, Scott Clark and wife Kim of Cornelius, nephew Scott Clark II of CA, nieces Kristina Arrigo of FL and Kathryn Clark of Cornelius, Rebeckah Hill-Nalen of NH, and Tami Hill-Arenivar of NM. Great nephew Ethan Clark, great nieces Kendall Clark and Maya Clark.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday March 9th, 2016, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital on Harry’s behalf. Friends may offer condolences to the family at www.raymerfh.com.
