Harold Stephen Maddox

Harold Stephen (Steve) Maddox, 72, passed away January 16, 2022 at his home in Cornelius, North Carolina after a seven year battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by family and friends.

Steve was born November 18, 1949 in El Centro, California to Martha and Harold Maddox.

He leaves behind his wife, Sheila Maddox; his mother, Martha Maddox; his brother, Al Maddox; and his sister, Margaret Zoehrer. 

Steve devoted his educational career to improving the lives of students during his 41 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator in San Diego and Imperial counties. He enjoyed golfing, boating, sharing fond memories, and taking his therapy dog to visit patients.

Steve connected with so many people, and he will be sorely missed.
