Hal Cicero Frazier
9 March 1932 - 4 April 2018
Although he always said he couldn't remember it, Hal Frazier was born on March 9, 1932, to Carl and Mary Kivett Frazier.
He graduated from Randleman High School in 1952. He was drafted in the US Army the same year and earned a position in Alaska, where he was a proud member of the Alaskan Grizzlies. He was honorably discharged as Corporal Hal Frazier in 1954.
Hal was a self taught machinist. He worked at United Brass Works in Randleman. He retired after 40 years. This is where he met the love of his life, Donna Eaton Frazier. They were married 39 years.
Although Hal had never wanted children of his own, he gained four, when he married Donna. These four children showed him what a child's love could mean.
That is why he loved working as one half of the Head Custodians at CSD. Together with Donna, he began working there in 2002 and became known as "PawPaw" to more than 200 faculty, 1600 parents and 2000 students past and present.
PawPaw was very much loved by his family and his adopted grandchildren at CSD and will be sorely missed!
Hal "PawPaw" Frazier was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Donna "MawMaw" Frazier, four children, Joy Warner, Terry Kennedy, James Kennedy, Ann Clegg and their loving families, including spouses, six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
PawPaw touched many lives and was loved every bit as much as he loved all of us.
There will be an outdoor memorial service held at the Community School of Davidson on Sunday, April 8 at 2:00. There will be a "Memory Chest" for anyone that would like to write down a favorite PawPaw memory or a loving message to MawMaw. Also, CSD students are welcome to make posters for PawPaw.
There will be a lemonade reception afterwards.
No flowers please. MawMaw request that any memorials be donated to CSD at 565 Griffith St., Davidson, NC 28036 or Hospice & Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, P.O. Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247.
MawMaw also request no food. Several family members live out of town and she does not want to waste any.
We are securing additional parking at surrounding businesses and there will be a shuttle bus bringing people from the CSD High School parking lot at 404 Armour St., Davidson.
