Guy "Chip" Brown Kale, Jr.

Guy “Chip” Brown Kale, Jr., 65, of Huntersville, NC passed away on  Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at home. Chip was born in Statesville, NC on September 5, 1956 to the late Guy and Madelyn Kale.   Along with his parents, Chip is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, James and Bonnie Becknell; Brother, James Ronald Kale; and Nephew, Bryan Randall.

Chip is survived by James Cochrane; his sister, Katherine Kale Randall of Denver, NC; Niece, Jamie Prince (Ben); 4 great nieces & nephews; and Cousin, Claudia Morrison (Steve) of Statesville, NC.

Chip was a faithful member of the Northside Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC where he attended regularly and volunteered in the Church’s Clothes Closet.  He previously worshipped at First Baptist in Huntersville where he taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. He also volunteered regularly at a local Assisted Living Facility.

Chip held a Masters Degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology. He worked with Mecklenburg County Government as a Mental Health Psychologist for 30+ years specializing in children and young adults.

A funeral service will be held on Monday January 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Northside Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
