Gregory Alan Smith

Gregory Alan Smith, 65, passed away on May 2, 2021. He was born on August 8, 1955 to Jo Ann Smith and the late Donald Smith in Winston-Salem, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Carrie “Lisa” Smith; son, Ryan Gregory Smith; daughter, Meghan Mechele Smith; grandson, Carter Ryan; sister, Donna Susan Smith; and Dana Lynn Caudle.

Greg was known for his big personality and being a family man. As an avid sports fan, he cheered on the Atlanta Braves, Carolina Panthers, and NASCAR’s Bill Elliott. Greg loved to cook, grilling, and tending to his sacred garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Novant Hospice.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home located at 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. The funeral service will follow the service at 7:00PM in the chapel at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.
