Glenn Alton Bish

Glenn Alton Bish, age 84, went to his rest on August 9, 2016. Glenn was born in Hanover on March 11, 1932 to Oscar Glenn Bish and Mary Evelyn Bish. During his young years he helped his father deliver bread and milk to homes in the Hanover area. He joined the US Air Force at the age of 18 and was stationed at MacDill Air Force Station in Tampa, Florida where he eventually married and raised a family. He was a great husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Inez (Codesal), children, Kathy Updike, Cornelius, NC, Jack Bish, Tampa, FL and Sonia Mitchell, Valrico, FL; son-in-law, Nathan Updike; siblings, Robert Bish, Alan Bish, Sharon Bish and Wendy Bish-McGrew, all of Hanover and Wayne Bish, Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Alton Updike, Robert Bish, Stacey Nichols, Jenna Bish, Megan Bish, 3 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Dannis Glenn Bish, and his parents Oscar and May Evelyn Bish.

A military service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
