Mrs. Gladys Joplin Marsh, 76, of Mooresville, NC formerly of Cornelius, NC died Tuesday January 1, 2013 at Genesis Elder Care. Born March 3, 1936 in Chesterfield County SC, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Pearlie Linton Joplin. She was a member of Rockwell Baptist Church, employed for many years at Standard Textile Mills where she was Union President and retired from Reeves Bros. in Cornelius. Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 noon Friday January 4, 2013 at Rockwell Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Barber officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from11:00 to 12:00 at the church. A Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Debbie Rorrer and husband Russell of Mooresville, Wanda Braddock and husband William of Cornelius; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Rorrer, Megan Rorrer, Wendy Gaffney, Wesley Braddock, Eddie Braddock, Chad Ray Marsh, Amanda Marsh, TJ Marsh, Nicki Marsh, Aaron Gryder; 8 great grandchildren, Austin Kirk Rorrer, Kane Gaffner, Koby Gaffney, Davin Braddock, Jasime Braddock, Kenzie Braddock, Kyleigh Braddock, Valentina Marsh; siblings, Olin Joplin, Betty Davis and Madge Cook. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Marsh, son, Tony Marsh and siblings, Minnie Pittman, Mildred Arington and Linda Jenkins. Memorials may be made to Rockwell Baptist Church, 133 Rockwell Loop, Mooresville, NC 28115. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home & Cremation Service Huntersville, NC is assisting the family.
