Gerald Weber, 71 of Palms, MI passed away Saturday, March 27, at Novant Hospital in Huntersville, NC after a long illness.
Gerald was born May 8, 1949 to the late Joseph and Betty (Oborski) Weber in Ruth, MI.
He married Eleanor Gatzo on August 8, 1975. He was employed by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) as an inspector building state roads.
After his retirement he enjoyed travel and his winter home in NC with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Weber; son, Aaron (Melissa) Weber and his 2 grandchildren, Nolan and Leona Weber; his brother, Allen Weber; and sister, Shelly (Paul) Siemen. He is also survived by several in-laws: Patricia Weber, Charlotte, Baker, Marian Gatza, Loren Gattson, Kathy Gatza, Elaine (Richard) Copper, Janet (Larry) Winling, Ann (Keith) Gobeski, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by an infant son, Eric; his parents; brother, Richard; brother-in-laws, Richard Gatza, Donald Gatza; and his infant sister, Mary.
