Georgeian Marie Langkilde Krabath

November 4, 1927 — September 14, 2014

Georgeian Marie Langkilde Krabath, of Charlotte, with kindness of heart and the strength of spirit in which she lived, Georgeian passed away peacefully to God on September 14, 2014 at the age of 86. Georgeian began her life on November 4, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late George and Augusta Langkilde. She attended St. Mathew grade school, St. John Cathedral High School Class of 1946 and Marquette University Class of 1950 where she met her late husband of 59 years, Carl Joseph Krabath. Georgeian enjoyed a long teaching career, being a girl scout leader and painting nature. She was a member of the Community of the Living Spirit Church. She received the Waukesha Woman of Distinction award for her devotion to helping Hmong refugee families. Georgeian's joyful commitment to her family, Hmong families and God inspired family and friends in the communities of Waukesha, WI and Charlotte, NC. She was a loving mother to Mark Krabath (Sue Burke) of Dolores, Co, Jeneane (Gary) of VandenBoom of Waukesha, WI, Karen Krabath of Cologne, MN and Paul (Kristen) Krabath of Cornelius, NC. She was a very special grandmother to Katie Zellner (Charlie) and Scott Krabath and sister-n-law to Frank Krabath of New Berlin, WI. She will be remembered with love by many other relatives and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Georgeian's life will be held at Frame Park Rotary Building, 1150 Baxter Street, Waukesha, WI. on October 3, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends and family before and after the service. "The best is yet to be." A private family burial will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. Memorials can be made to the Carl and Georgeian Hmong Textbook Fund, Community of the Living Spirit Church, 1224 Buena Vista Ave, Waukesha WI 53188.
