George Leland Kilian

George Leland Kilian, 79, of Huntersville, NC went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2017. He was born March 17, 1938 in White Plains, NY to the late Peter and Regina Barrett Kilian.

He served the US Air Force and went to work for Hazeltine Corp. on Long Island, NY. He enjoyed serving on the Northport Volunteer Fire Department. He went to work for American Airlines Headquarters in NYC in 1971 and then moved to Dallas-Fort Worth, TX in 1979 when the company moved their headquarters.

After retirement he and his wife moved to Cape Cod, MA where they enjoyed New England, travelling and spoiling their two four-legged ‘kids’. They moved to NC in October, 2016.

He is remembered not only as a loving husband, but for his sense of humor, kindness, generosity and love of dogs.

George is survived by his wife of 16 years, Carol Carver Kilian; two children, Tim Kilian of Lewisville, TX and Lisa King and husband Scott of Shreveport, LA; four grandchildren, Skyler King, Maggie King, Tegan King and Sarah Kilian; and their mother, Peggy Kilian.

George will be cremated and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
