Geneva Louise Wright

Geneva Louise Wright, affectionately known as "Sissy" to her loved ones, passed away on April 27,2024, at Huntersville Oaks. She was born on November 18, 1944to to the late Harvey Dempsey and Ollie May Brackett Garrett in Cornelius NC where she was raised.

Geneva will be fondly remembered for her funny and family-oriented personality. She was considered "the glue" that held her family together and was recognized as a Godly woman by all who knew her. Her hobbies included cooking and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Every birthday and holiday were special moments for Geneva as she cherished the time spent with her family at her home. Her presence during these gatherings will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her husband JB Wright; her children: Rodger William Wright, Paul Edward Wright, and Mary Thomas Wright; her brothers Harvey Garrett, Rodger Garrett, Wade Garrett, and her sister Sara Arthur. 

She is survived by her grandchildren Rodger Adam Wright, Tabitha (Kevin) Wishon, Brandon Thomas, Tiffany Thomas and great-grandchildren Kylie Wishon, Ryder Wishon, Haley Aziz, Rodger Wright, Levi Wright.

A Graveside Service to honor Geneva's life will be held on May 1, 2024, at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius, NC. The service will commence at 12:00 PM followed by interment at 1:00 PM.
