Gary Alan Painter

Mr. Gary Alan Painter, 76, of Huntersville, NC died Friday January 11, 2013 at Levine Dickson Hospice House. Born in Asheville NC on August 10, 1936 he was the son of the late Avery Vance Painter and Mary Wright Painter. He served our country first in the US Marine Corp then the US Navy retiring after 25 years of service. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Memorial services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Monday January 28, 2013 at Centreville United Methodist Church, 6400 Old Centreville Road, Centreville, VA 20121. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Michael Alan Painter and Lynn Curley both of Huntersville, Patrice (Terry) Brown of Centreville, VA; grandchildren, Carsen, Nicholas,Christopher, Katelyn and Devin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Nicholas Painter and son-in-law, Craig "Spider" Curley.
