Gareth Joel Templeman

Gareth Joel Templeman 85 y/o of Cornelius NC, passed away on Saturday June 18th of 2022 from complications of a chronic illness. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold, his mother, Mildred, and his brother, David. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Debby, 4 children and 16 grandchildren.

Gary grew up in Herkimer, NY, received an undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and his Phd from SUNY Buffalo. Aside from his role as a loving husband, father, and friend to many, he was an accomplished and well respected food scientist. He had a passion for singing which started in childhood, was developed on a world-wide tour with the Robert Shaw Chorale, and was refined through a lifetime of singing in church choirs. He touched the life of many people, was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

His memorial service will be held at Saint Martin's Episcopal Church, 1510 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204 on July 17th at 1pm.
