Frank was born on May 25, 1930 in Boise, ID, the son of Frank George Pollard and Ella May Asbury. He spent his childhood years in Salt Lake City, UT. There he attended Granite High School and helped run the family-owned grocery store. Following graduation and attendance at the University of Utah, he joined the United States Air Force and was eventually stationed at Dow Air Force Base in Bangor, ME. It was during his service in the Air Force that he met and married Jean Shaw Davis. Together they had 3 children. Following Jean's death, he met and married Martha Arlene Hayes. Together they raised 8 children. He worked for Continental Telephone Company for 36 years and was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life. He held many leadership positions within the church. He had a love for God and others that was apparent in all he did. In his words he taught us to, "Love with all your heart as you never know what's going to happen in life." He was always willing to serve others in any way he could. He will be remembered for being gentle, kind, sentimental, and patient and for always recognizing the beauty in the world. He loved babies especially his own grandchildren and would often sing them to sleep with his self-composed lullabies. He enjoyed wood-working and had a talent for fixing anything. He built his lake home in Maine. Even in his illness, he never lost his kind-hearted, playful personality. With his generous sense of humor he loved to call everyone " Sunshine" and would often joke about how much he needed sunglasses because they were so bright". He is now "our sunshine".
