Frank William Camp

December 16, 1928 — September 22, 2017

Frank William Camp, 88, of Huntersville, passed away peacefully at The Haven at Highland Creek. Frank was born December 16, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Horace A. and Helen McGraw Camp. He attended Porter Military Academy in Charleston, SC and went on to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. Frank enjoyed traveling and wood working, and was a member of The Bonsai Society of Charlotte.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Scruggs Camp in 2012. Frank is survived by his step-daughter, Becky Helms (Nolan); grandchildren, Candy, Kristin, and Jonathan Thompson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 119 N. Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Charlotte.
