Frances Stockham

Frances Henrietta Stockham, 99, passed away on January 13, 2019 at Levine & Dickson Hospice at Aldersgate.

She was born on September 15, 1919 to the late Otis and Maggie Lee in Asheville, NC.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Don Stockham, Jr. She is survived by her son David Stockham of Waverly, OH; daughter Betty Brown (James) of Cornelius, NC; grandson Christopher Brown(Sabrina) of Cornelius, NC; granddaughter Karen Malone(Terry) of Woodbury, GA; granddaughter Kimberly Stalford(Michael) of Asheville, NC; great granddaughter Elizabeth Stalford of Asheville, NC; great grandson James Stalford of Asheville, NC; great granddaughter Katherine Stalford of Asheville, NC; great granddaughter Caitlin Malone of Atlanta, GA; and great granddaughter, Lauren Malone of Woodbury, GA.

Frances was a post master for 26 years with the US Postal Service.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00PM at Riverside Cemetery in Asheville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte in Frances’ honor.
