Floyd "Gene" Eugene Brown

Mr. Floyd "Gene" Eugene Brown, 76, of Mooresville, NC died Tuesday September 27, 2011 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Born May 8, 1935 in Vail, NC he was a son of the late Floyd Howard Brown and Bertie Ethel Workman Brown. He was a US Marine Veteran serving during the Korea War and employed with Duke Power as an industrial mechanic. Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 1 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Rev. J. R. Speece officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Shearer Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Survivors include his sister, Betty Morton of Davidson and brothers, Paul Brown of Charlotte and Clyde (Nancy) Brown of Cornelius. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Johnson Brown and sister, Carolyn Alexander.
