Fern Cheryl Schwartz

Fern Cheryl Schwartz, 68, passed away on January 25, 2019 at Atrium-University Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born October 9, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY.

She is preceded in death by her biological mother, Ruth Miller, and her parents Ray (Temmie) and Milton Straus; her brother, Edward Kristein; and her sister, Rona Kollender.

Fern is survived by her daughter, Eileen Orihuela (Felix) of Concord, North Carolina and granddaughters, Marlee and Emma; her uncle, Jack Miller of Charlotte; her brother, Lloyd Straus (Randi) of New York; and her sister, Laurie Peretz (Jay) of Sonoma County, California.

Fern loved being with her granddaughters Marlee and Emma when she retired to Charlotte. She cherished so many lifelong memories with her friends, family, co-workers and neighbors growing up and living in Brooklyn, New York.

Services will be held privately by the family.
