Faye Cline McConnell, 101, of Charlotte passed away September 30, 2015 at Five Oaks Manor in Charlotte. Born in Cabarrus County she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Cline. Faye was a retired nurse and was a member of Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church where she acted as the secretary of Presbyterian Women. Faye was also very active in providing education and support for special needs children and adults. She was part of the group that founded the Nevins Center, a worship that provided vocational opportunities for special needs adults. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Porter McConnell and son Edgar Porter McConnell, Jr. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service for Faye Monday October 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
