Faye Dudley Dew Johnson, 87, of Huntersville, NC passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018 at Ranson Ridge Assisted Living surrounded by her family and beloved caretakers.
The memorial service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson, NC. Joseph Humphreys, Faye’s grandson-in-law of Warren Baptist Church, Grovetown, GA will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville.
She was born in Lynchburg, VA on August 30, 1930 to the late Reverend Harold James Dudley and Avis Fountain Dudley.
Faye was a piano teacher for many years in Wilson, NC. She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and organ, cooking for her family (she was a great cook), loved the beach, collecting shells and sharks teeth and fishing.
She is survived by her son, Harry B. Dew, Jr. (Vickie) of Cape Carteret, NC; Robert Erick Dew (Carrie) of Utah and Catherine Dew Lamm (Leon) of Davidson, NC; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Harry B. Dew, Sr., Huell A. Johnson; and son, Harold Dudley Dew and her beloved Chihuahua, Chica.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh St., Charlotte, NC, 28204 (donatehospice.org) and The Maggie Society Canine Rescue, 802 Broad St., Wilson, NC 27893.
