Evelyn Fernandez

Evelyn Fernandez, 78, of Cornelius, NC passed away on October 18, 2021. Evelyn was born in New York, NY on March 25, 1943 to the late Gilbert Lopesilvero and Orgelia Lopesilvero.

Evelyn forged a career as an occupational therapist working with Veterans at the Miami VA Medical Center. Dedicated to family, selfless, generous, and supportive, she was unrelenting in caring and providing for others. Evelyn enjoyed plants, gardening, nature, social causes, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her step-sister, Bernadette Wise, and stepmother, Gloria Lopesilvero. 

She is survived by her husband Emilio Fernandez; her daughter, Leana Moyer; son in law, Thomas Moyer; grandchildren, Taylor Moyer and Aidan Moyer; brother, Gil Lopesilvero III; brother, Frank Degracia; brother, Gil Lopesilvero IV; brother Hi Lopesilvero; and brother, Joseph Lopesilvero.
