Eunice Anne Newburn

Eunice Anne Smith Newburn, 79, of Charlotte, NC passed away April 24, 2016. Eunice was born November 5, 1936 in Coulee City, WA to the late Eugene and Edith Smart Smith. She was raised in Spokane, WA and served in the U.S. Navy for three years. While serving at Parris Island, SC, she met her husband, the late, William Toulman Newburn, Sr. Eunice was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Red Hat Society. She was known for her quick wit and beautiful smile.

Eunice is survived by her loving family; daughters, Kathy Walker (George), Julie Bellisle (Huey), Amie Griffith (Jim); sons, William “Buddy” Toulman Newburn, Jr, (Suzette), David Newburn (Trish McClellion), Norman Newburn; grandchildren, great grandchildren and sister, Vivian Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery, NC on July 11, 2016 (tentative). Special thanks to the staff of Olds Knox Commons, Huntersville, for her care the past three years.
