Tina Zuliani, 86, of Charlotte, NC passed away unexpectedly on October 18 at the Levine Dixon Hospice Center after a fall in her home. Tina Zuliani was born Ernesta Maddelena Tamaroglio on January 25, 1925. Tina is from Andorno Mica, a small village in the foothills of the Italian Alps in a region known as the Piedmont. She married her husband Louis in Switzerland before coming to the USA in 1953. Tina and Louis originally settled in NJ before moving to the Charlotte area in 1991. Tina learned to sew as a young girl in Italy, and worked for many years as a seamstress before retiring. After retiring, she became active with volunteering at the CMC University Hospital where she visited with patients and made baby clothes. Tina was always happy quilting and sewing with her close friends. She was a devoted Catholic and a loving friend, mother and wife. Tina is survived by her husband Louis of 57 years, and also by two sisters still living near Andorno Mica (Nela Bertoglio and Angela Stasia) and many nieces and nephews living in both Italy and Switzerland. Tina was pre-deceased by 2 sisters, a brother, and a son Roy. She is also survived by a son Walter, a daughter in law Kim, and a nine month old grandson Jackson living in Hudson Wisconsin. Tina will always be loved and missed by her many friends and family. A Funeral Mass will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 22 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Huntersville, NC with Monsignor Bellows officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:30 am at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.
