Elsie Levay Bledsoe

March 10, 1929 — December 20, 2011

Mrs. Elsie Levay Little Bledsoe, 82, of Charlotte died Tuesday December 20, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Born March 10, 1929 in Mecklenburg County she was a daughter of the late Baxter V. Little and Margaret Robinson Little. She was an All American Basketball player at North Carolina School of the Deaf where she was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame and retired from the IBM Date Processing Department at the City of Charlotte. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday December 26 at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery with Rev. Rick Felts officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. Mrs. Bledsoe is survived by her son, Randy A. Bledsoe of Charlotte, brother, Kermit Little of Meridian, MS and two nieces. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Ferrell and grandson Christopher Bledsoe. Memorial contributions may be made to North Carolina School for the Deaf, 517 W Fleming Drive, Morganton, NC 28655.
