Elizabeth Linnon DiGiacomo Foster, 85, of Mint Hill, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, NC. Elizabeth was born February 25, 1930 in Newark, NJ, to the late Joseph and Mary Shea Linnon. Elizabeth was the Mailing Requirements Manager for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. She was a loving and kind person who adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Martin A. DiGiacomo (Janice) of Harrisburg, NC, Susan L. DiGiacomo, of Charlotte, NC, Michael J. DiGiacomo, of Vernon, CT, William E. DiGiacomo of Ellington, CT, Elizabeth A. DiGiacomo, of Mint Hill, NC, Stephen T. DiGiacomo, of Cornelius, NC, James R. DiGiacomo (Alba) of Coventry, CT; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Dede Caprarola, Carol Crugnale; brother, Richard Linnon; sister-in-law, Eileen Linnon; brother-in-law Ray McKenna; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Martin J. DiGiacomo and Carl S. Foster; sisters, Mary Carney, Gertrude (Toots) McKenna; brothers, Joseph Linnon, Robert Linnon. Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at StoneBridge Presbyterian Church and at 10:00am on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church, 446 Mountain Road, Suffield, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals, 1515 Mockingbird Lane, Charlotte, NC 28209. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
