Elisha Nichols Lane, 43, of Huntersville, NC passed away on April 9, 2021 with her parents, Gary and Margaret Nichols, by her side. She was born December 14, 1977 in Manassas, VA.
Elisha is predeceased by her two cherished dogs, Jacque and Max. She is survived by her two beloved children, Ainsley (15) and Caleb Lane (14); her parents; her sister, Rebecca Nichols Beck; her brother, Whalen Nichols; and six amazing nieces and nephews, Alexandra Lehnhard, Benjamin Lehnhard, Luke Beck, Kennedy Nichols, Adelyn Nichols, and Andrew Nichols; as well as her former husband, Adam Lane, and her mother-in-law, Linda Monetti. She was also blessed to have many amazing friends that she loved as family.
Elisha’s children were her world and she treasured every second she had with them, and they with her. They were inseparable. Her fighting spirit and fierce loyalty will undoubtedly continue to live on through her kids. Ainsley and Caleb shared that one of their most treasured memories of their mom is her universal animal art masterpieces. “Starting with an oval, you can add features and characteristics to draw any animal you want; squirrels, dragons, etc.!” – Ainsley.
Even as her health began to fail, Elisha maintained a sharp wit and loved to engage in spirited debate. She was an avid reader with a passion for historical fiction. She enjoyed time spent as a substitute teacher at Corvian Community School and loved spending time with her best friends solving the world’s problems.
