Eleanor Bonney

Eleanor Sheehan Bonney age 86, passed away December 16, 2018 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate in Charlotte, NC.

Mrs. Bonney was born November 2,1932 in Trumbull, CT, daughter of the late Frank Joseph Sheehan and the late Ann Monaghan Sheehan.  Mrs. Bonney graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William J Bonney, Jr, and her brother Francis Sheehan, and sisters Gertrude Castelot and Ann Kelly.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her time with family and friends.  She loved the beach, playing golf, reading good books and family gatherings.

Survivors include her four sons, William J. Bonney III and his wife Sharon of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michael J. Bonney and his wife Karen of Neptune, NJ, Terrence Bonney of Orlando, FL, and Eugene J. Bonney and his wife Dyan of Concord, NC; her daughter Mary Frances Lynch and her husband Michael of Charlotte, NC; and her 10 grandchildren Billy, Caroline, Ashly and Melanie Bonney, Matthew and Michael Bonney, Olivia and Ryan Lynch, and Joseph and Jacob Bonney; and her 5 great grandchildren Bridgett and Jack Goin, and Chase, Bonnie and Lily Horton.  

A Private Mass will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, December 21, 2018 at Saint Marks Catholic Church.  An inurnment will be held at a later date in the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church Columbarium. 

Memorials may be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate, 3211 Bishops Way Ln, Suite 1000, Charlotte, NC 28205 in lieu of flowers.
