Elaine Emanuel

Elaine Macropoulos Emanuel, 89, of Cornelius, NC passed away peacefully in Folly Beach, SC. Elaine was born March 6, 1926, in Athens Greece to the late Nicholas and Anna Trakada Macropoulos. Elaine attended the University of Athens in Greece. She was very active in her church in Greensboro, NC where she served on the board of Philoptochos, and St. Luke Greek Orthodox in Mooresville, NC. Elaine was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to cook greek food for her grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family; son, Nicholas Emanuel and wife Dayle of Huntersville, NC; grandsons, Matthew Emanuel and his wife Megan of Huntersville, Andrew Emanuel of Charleston, SC; great granddaughter, Emily Emanuel; sister-in-law, Joanne Macropoulos; nephews, Nicholas Macropoulos and his wife Allison, Chris Macropoulos and his wife Lori; great nephews, Alex and Stephen; great niece, Christina. A visitation will be held on Sunday June 14, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. Funeral services will be Monday June 15, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 134-A Talbert Pointe Dr., Mooresville, NC 28117. Interment will follow at Greensboro Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greensboro, NC. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church or Hospice of Lake Norman, 705 Griffith Street, Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036.
