Edwin "Mell" Hicks

Edwin “Mell” Hicks, III, 63, of Davidson, NC passed away on December, 27, 2015 in Huntersville, NC.

Mell was born on November 20, 1952 in Charlotte, NC to the late Edwin Mell (EM) Hicks, Jr. and Dorothy Bowen.  Mell received his Masters Degree from Loyola University of New Orleans, he held multiple FAA pilot licensees and worked for the PCA Corp in Charlotte for 30 years as a photo lab manager.

Mell is survived by his loving family: sister, Janet Harvin and husband, Richard; niece, Michelle (Shelley) Rogers and husband,Jeff and their children Afton and Jordan Rogers; niece, Kelley Earnest and husband, Jerry and their children Jarrett and Marshal Earnest; and Kelley’s son, Reese Harvin and grandson, Rylan Harvin. He is also survived by his lifelong friends, James McCall and Edith R. Summers.

There will be a graveside service at Mimosa Cemetery in Davidson, NC on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
