Edward John Kost, 77, of Charlotte, North Carolina (formerly of Hartford, CT) passed away on June 21, 2018.
He was born in Torrington, Connecticut on February 8, 1941 to the late Nicholas and Mary Elizabeth Kost. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eunice Chu.
Edward is survived by his wife, Joyce Kost; daughter, Cindy Kost; son, Roger Kost and wife Maria; grandson, Aaron Kost; sister, Barbara Baer; brothers, Bernard Kost and wife Edna, James Kost and companion Marilyn Wilson; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companions, Sweetie Pie and Carla Button.
He was a gentle soul who loved helping people, but most of all he loved animals. Ed will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 10th at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Huntersville, with a memorial service following at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish of Central and Western North Carolina, 1131 Harding Place, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204.
