Mr. Edgar Porter McConnell, Jr. 63 of Charlotte, NC died Sunday June 9, 2013 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House. Born March 19, 1950 in Mecklenburg County he was the son of Faye Cline McConnell and the late Edgar Porter McConnell, Sr. Edgar was a member of Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church, employed at the Nevins Center, Inc and was a resident of Howell's Group Homes. A celebration of his life will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Wednesday June 12, 2013 at Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev Carol Hassle officiating. Burial will be private. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Faye McConnell and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
