Dwight C. Childress, 77, of Charlotte, NC passed away on May 12, 2021.

Dwight was born in Kingston, N.Y. on April 21, 1944 to Florence Elizabeth Childress.

Dwight was US Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He loved LIFE, family, music, and martial arts. Taught martial arts for more than 5 decades. 

Along with his mother, Dwight is preceded in death by his son Palo I. Childress.

He is survived by his wife, Delores R. Childress; son, Andre Childress; daughter, Dawn Reddings; and son, Paris N. Childress; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held both in Charlotte, NC and Poughkeepsie, NY. To be announced as soon as arrangements are made.
