Douglas Otto Wilson, 57, of Charlotte, NC died Sunday May 11, 2014 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born October 18, 1956 in Hutchinson, Kansas he was a son of Sylvia Skeen Wilson of Kansas and the late Clarence O. Wilson. A U.S. Navy veteran he was employed as a long haul truck driver with Crete Carrier Corp. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntersville, NC, a member of the Disable American Veterans and Truckstop Ministries. Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday May 16, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Huntersville, NC. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church. In addition to his mother, Sylvia he leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Penny Lynne Wilson; son Dustin Wilson and wife, Michelle of Charlotte; daughter, Amanda Cude and husband Jeremy of Charlotte; step-daughter, Tangie Richard of Kansas; three grandchildren, A.J., Rieley and Wyatt Wilson; grand dog, Lady Bug; brothers, Charles Wilson and wife Sandy of Oklahoma, Paul Wilson and wife Sherri of Kansas; sister, Carolyn Wilson and husband Kenny of Kansas and numerous extended family members.
