Douglas W. Henry

Douglas William Henry, 72, of Charlotte, NC passed away on May 6, 2017.

Doug was born in St Louis, MO on November 30, 1944 to the late George William Henry and Rosemary.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Gloria Gaye (Gibson) Henry. A son, Seth Ryan Henry and wife Jamie. Their children Phoebe, Seth Jr, Tobias, and Phineas. Daughter Karley Dawn Henry and husband Josh Brooks. Their daughter Stella. Daughter Lana Gaye Henry.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Chapel at Suite 15 at Concord First Assembly. 280 Concord Pkwy N, Concord, NC 28027

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Crisis Distribution Center at Concord First Assembly Church.

Doug’s family founded Trojan Freight Lines in Dayton, OH. Starting a lifelong career in the trucking industry. His first passion was his family, followed by NASCAR. He believed in gathering to support each other through the tough times and to lift each other up in celebration in the good times. He always made a point to make a connection with everyone he met. Whether it was about the best Pizza in Dayton, obviously Marion’s, or the best NASCAR driver in that weekend’s race. His smile and laughter always filled up the room, he will be missed by all who knew him.
