Doris Pike Bailey Caldwell

August 11, 1927 — March 19, 2020

Doris P. Caldwell, age 92, passed away March 19th, 2020. Born August 11, 1927 in Pike New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dollie Pike.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by sister Phyllis and brother Robert Pike; Richard Bailey, her husband of 10 years; Herbert J Caldwell, her husband of 50 years; and son William (Bill) Caldwell.

Survivors include daughters Cynthia Bailey Clevenger, Rita Caldwell Currie (John), sons Richard Bailey (Donna), Herbert J Caldwell Jr (Frank ), daughter in law Colleen Caldwell Juras, grandchildren Kenneth Clevenger (Jenna), Kara Clevenger Wainwright (Roger) Sean Caldwell (Liz) Ryan Caldwell (Sarah), brother in law John Caldwell (Shirley), brother in law Hank Baldwin, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was the beloved MiMi Great to Jesse Wainwright, Brittany Wainwright Shoemaker (Andrew), Kacey Clevenger, and Ella Clevenger, Great Grammie to Vivian and Will Caldwell, Nana to the Dendy Family, and Mama Doris to so many others.

Her hobbies included bowling, playing cards, canning and cooking.

She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 39 in Haverhill NH, member of Whitetop Presbyterian Church and the Whitetop Senior Citizens.

She lived in N. H. until 1959 and lived in Vienna, Va before moving to Whitetop, VA in 1990.

She had several jobs in her life but she said the best one was being a wife and mother to her family.
