Donnie Waine Shipman

Donnie Waine Shipman, 78, of Cornelius, NC passed away on April 26, 2016.

He was born in Hornersville, MO on September 20, 1937 to the late Jessie Howard Shipman and Mary Alice Shipman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lizzie Shipman; daughter, Lynn Morton and her husband Brett; son, Waine Shipman and his wife Rebecca; grandchildren, Zane Morton, Jenna Morton, Allysa Shipman, Garrett Shipman; sister, Claudia Hull; and brother, Doyle Shipman and his wife Betty.

Donnie was retired from the US Air Force after 22 years of Service, and later worked for RADAC  for 15 years. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family. Donnie never met a stranger and will be missed by all that knew him.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC.
