Donald Boggess

Donald VanCleave Boggess, 73, of Cornelius, NC died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at his residence. Born September 25, 1939 in Paducah, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Carlos Joe Boggess and Ellen Elizabeth Osborne Boggess. He was a retired broker from the banking and mortgage industry and enjoyed boating and fishing with his grandsons. A celebration of his life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Diana Carpenter Boggess; children, Todd Boggess and wife Shannon, Troy Boggess both of Huntersville, Shannon Elrod, John Boggess and wife Delores , Jeff Boggess all of Greenville, SC; brother, Roger Boggess of St. Louis; several grandchildren including Tristan and Kyler niece, Jennifer Boggess and nephew, Matthew Boggess. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
