Dolly G. White

Dolly G. White, 94, of Concord, NC passed away on January 8, 2020. She was born on May 3, 1925 in Davidson, NC to the late James Johnson Gant and Margaret Isenhour Gant.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, James C. White; second husband, E.M. Hicks; son, James White, Jr.; granddaughter, Laura Doub; sisters, Fannie Suzannah Stancil-Flowe, Madeline Wilson , Rosa Lee Torrence , Pearlie May Crews , Hannah Beatrice Treadaway , Martha Louise Gant, Virginia Elizabeth Caldwell ,Macie Roberta Karriker ; brothers, James Oscar Gant, John Patterson Gant, Willie Preston Gant, Mike Lee Gant, and J.P. Gant.

Dolly is survived by her daughter, Donna Doub; daughter-in-law, Mitzi White; grandson, Clay White (Cherri); granddaughter, Michelle Higgins, grandson, Adrian White; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle White, James White, and Chandler Higgins. 

She is also survived by her nephew, Jerry Mauney (Vera) and many extended family members.

Dolly was a graduate of Davidson High School class of 1942. She retired from Burlington Mills as a supervisor after many years of working n the textile industry. She was a lifelong member at Davidson UMC, where she taught Sunday school for several years.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Davidson UMC in Davidson, NC. The family will receive friends for a gathering following the service.
