Diane Nickas Pappas

Diane Nickas Pappas, 82, of Greenville, NC passed away August 24, 2016 at Novant Health in Charlotte, NC. Diane was born December 4, 1933 in Bronx, NY to the late Thomas and Georgia Moughis Nickas. Diane was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Eastgate Lodge in Charlotte. She was a Sunday school teacher at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Charlotte, NC.   Diane was blessed with a loving family that she truly cherished.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew James Pappas in 1973 and her sister in law, Catherine Vlahos.

Diane is survived by her loving family; sons, James Pappas (Cordie) of Winston-Salem, NC, John Pappas (Susie) of Apex, NC, Alexander Pappas (Dee) of Greenville, NC, Richard Pappas (Eilish) of Huntersville, NC; sister, Alexandra Nickas of Huntersville, NC; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother in law, George Vlahos; and nephew Nick.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 29, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Charlotte. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Sunday School Program, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
