Dena Kelly Weaver

Mrs. Dena Kelly Weaver, 88, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Wednesday July 31, 2012. She was born in Charlotte, NC on August 13, 1923; a daughter to the late Zack M. Kelly and Alice Helms Kelly. Dena is survived by her loving dauther-in-law, Frankie Weaver; grandchildren, Beth (Eric) Dent, Cathy (Mark) McAuley, Stephanie (Fred) Love and Jennie Weaver; great grandchildren, Ryon and Craig Dent, Christy McAuley Stone (Rocky) and Dillon McAuley, Shelby and Stephen Love and Kailey Waver. Also surviving are sisters, Mary Sims and Sue Helms and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Weaver and son Stephen Weaver. Dena lived a full life. She enjoyed cooking, trivia, fishing and bingo. She loved children and they were drawn to her. She considered all children to be her grandchildren. Everyone who knew her called her mamaw. She was generous and loving and she will be missed. She was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 4 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery West.
