David Christian Garbark

David Christian Garbark, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2023 in New Bern, NC.  David was born in 1973 in Spartanburg, SC.  He was known for his bright spirit, kind heart filled with happiness, consideration for others, and love for his family and friends.

David married Deniece Huszar of Wheeling, West Virginia in 1994, and their ceremony was held in Charlotte, NC.  

He was preceded in death by former wife, Deniece Huszar Ault.  David is survived by his daughter, Madison Mackenzie Garbark of New Bern, NC and her children Rodney and Rhea; his son, David Christian Garbark, Jr. whom resides in Statesville, NC;  his father, Nathaniel Michael Garbark of Charlotte, NC; his mother, Ann Edgerton (James Edgerton) of New Bern, NC; brother, Nathaniel Michael Garbark III (Katie Garbark) of Mint Hill, NC; sister Catherine Garbark Jackson (Garland Jackson, Jr.) of Davidson, NC; and nieces, Savannah Garbark, Elizabeth Garbark, Gracie Jackson, Bethany Jackson, and Ella Jackson.

A visitation will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023.

A Funeral Mass will be said for David immediately following visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church with Father John Putnam officiating, assisted by Deacon Richard McCarron. The mass can be viewed via livestream at https://venue.streamspot.com/ec026bd0 .Interment will follow after Mass at Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte, NC.
