David Alan Fletcher

David A. Fletcher (Fletch) passed away peacefully in the company of his dear friend, June Simms and her family on September 2, 2014. Fletch was born on August 21, 1957 in Washington, DC, son of the late William (Bill/Whitey) Fletcher and Mary Anne Fletcher He is survived by his brother, Gary M. Fletcher of Hurricane, WV and sister, Jan Coffinberger of Reston, VA along with her husband, Rick Coffinberger, sons Joey and Ben. Fletch is also survived by his beloved dog, Harley. Originally from Martinsburg, WV, Fletch moved to NC in 1994 with his company Alcatel-Lucent. He provided over 30 years of service with what was once known as C&P, AT&T and other various names before merging with Alcatel-Lucent. Fletch's family wishes to recognize and publicly express our gratitude to June Simms, her family and employees for delivering excellent and compassionate care to Fletch during his lengthy illness. They watched over him and nursed him round the clock. There are no words to express our appreciation for their support. Services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Fuenral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 to 4:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054 or (animal rescue) Pawbrokers.org, P. O. Box 586, Cornelius, NC 28031.
