Danita Renee Lankford

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our baby sister, Danita Renee Lankford on August 23ʳᵈ, 2024 at the age of 66. Born on July 1ˢᵗ, 1958, Danita was always considered our parents' "pet” and that was okay with us. She lived a life that brought her many highs and some lows as well. Danita took care of our Aunt Minnie and our Mom through their Alzheimer's as long as she was physically able to do so. We will remember her lovingly with tears and with laughter and her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

Danita was preceded in death by her parents Cordie J Lankford Kanipe and Vaughn Orville Lankford.

She was also preceded in death by two nephews that she loved dearly, Phillip Piercy and Robert Piercy.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers David Lankford (Debbie) and Dwight Lankford (Robin) along with her sisters, Debbie Pannell (Carl) and Doni Rebecca Piercy (Johnny). Nieces Carla Gibson, Tracy Hunt, Alicia Calkins, Brittany Henderson and Courtney Lankford. Nephews Michael Pannell, Stephen Piercy and Bobby Lankford and numerous cousins.

A private family memorial will be held on Saturday, September 28ᵗʰ to gather and celebrate our sister’s life.
